The Hong Kong ESG Reporting Awards (HERA) recognise organisations that demonstrate transparency, accountability, and leadership in ESG disclosure. Independently judged by a distinguished panel of sustainability experts, HERA is open to listed and non-listed companies of all sizes across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

Every submission is assessed by an independent panel of judges drawn from academia, finance, sustainability advisory, and regulatory backgrounds. No commercial influence, no pay-to-win.

Open to All

Listed multinationals and private SMEs alike are welcome. What matters is the quality of your sustainability reporting, not the size of your organisation.

Not-for-Profit

HERA exists to raise the standard of ESG disclosure in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. Proceeds support youth education and sustainability capacity-building initiatives.

Contributing to the Global Goals

HERA’s work in promoting transparent sustainability reporting directly supports three UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Target 12.6: Encourage companies to adopt sustainable practices and integrate sustainability information into their reporting cycle

We encourage companies to embed sustainability into their reporting cycle, helping normalise ESG disclosure as standard business practice across Hong Kong.

By recognizing companies that have demonstrated outstanding sustainability reporting practices, HERA can encourage more companies to adopt sustainable production and consumption practices, contributing to the achievement of SDG 12.

Target 13.2: Integrate climate change measures into policies, strategies, and planning

Target 13.3: Improve education, awareness-raising, and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction, and early warning

HERA aims to promote climate action by encouraging companies to report on their carbon emissions and climate change performance.

By recognising excellence in carbon disclosure and climate reporting, we motivate organisations to measure, report, and ultimately reduce their environmental footprint.

Target 17.16: Enhance the global partnership for sustainable development, complemented by multi-stakeholder partnerships that mobilize and share knowledge, expertise, technology, and financial resources to support the achievement of the SDGs

HERA brings together companies, investors, regulators, and advisors to share knowledge and build collective capacity for meaningful sustainability progress.

By building partnerships and sharing knowledge, HERA can contribute to the achievement of SDG 17.
