HERA Launches Excellence in Disclosure Scheme for ESG Reporting
Hong Kong, January 17, 2024 – The Hong Kong ESG Reporting Awards (HERA), an industry-recognized ESG reporting award standard, has launched the Excellence in Disclosure Scheme (EDS), a tiered recognition system that evaluates and grades companies’ ESG disclosure practices.
The EDS aims to acknowledge companies that demonstrate exemplary levels of ESG disclosure, motivate them to continually improve their ESG reporting, and foster a culture of transparency and accountability among businesses.
Companies that join the EDS will undergo a continuous evaluation process based on the HERA rubric, which covers various aspects of ESG reporting. Based on their performance, companies will be eligible for the Silver, Gold, or Platinum Standards, which signify their level of excellence in ESG disclosure.
Companies that achieve a silver grade or above will receive the HERA Excellence Scheme logo, a complimentary ticket to join the annual HERA event, an opportunity to participate in a Q&A interview with ESGN, and a 20% discount on the fee for GRI Certified Training.
The EDS is a part of HERA’s mission to promote and reward excellence in ESG reporting practices. HERA is an annual award event where companies are recognized for their outstanding ESG disclosure practices by an independent panel of judges. HERA is the first ESG reporting award to receive a special nomination from ISAR, coordinated by the United Nations’ Conference on Trade and Development.
