HERA Joins Hands with Avelia to Promote SAF
Hong Kong, 10 Oct 2023 – HERA is thrilled to collaborate with Shell’s Avelia in advancing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), serving as our Aviation Decarbonisation Partner for the 2023 Hong Kong ESG Reporting Awards. The awards ceremony will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on 26 October 2023. SAF, an industry-compliant fuel derived from alternative feedstocks rather than crude oil, signifies a major step towards sustainability in aviation.
Over its six-year trajectory, HERA has successfully brought together nearly 200 enterprises from regions including mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and this year expanded to include companies from Russia and Singapore. This diverse participation has elevated HERA into a prominent position among Hong Kong’s ESG awards.
Director of HERA, Tony Wong, shared his enthusiasm: “We are delighted to have Avelia’s backing as our partner at this year’s HERA. Through this partnership, we hope to promote SAF to more companies with high demand for air transport, as an appropriate carbon reduction tool to effectively achieve their zero-carbon goals.”
